Bobbie Sublett, 1946-2023

Bobbie L Sublett (Tomes) of San Angelo Texas, passed away on May 16th, 2023. She was born on April 8th, 1946 in San Angelo Texas to George and Elsie Tomes.

Bobbie graduated from Albany High School’s class of 1964. She obtained her Bachelors of Arts in Education from Angelo State University.

Bobbie married R.C. Sublett on June 21, 1968. Upon graduating from Angelo State University in 1969, they moved to Sterling, Alaska. They built a life together. They built a home, ran businesses, and raised four children.

Bobbie had a passion for art. She was very creative and was always learning a new craft. She owned and operated a successful porcelain doll business, Dolls By Bobbie, from 1989 to 1998.

She enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking, cooking, and spending time with her kids and grandkids.

She loved meeting new people, talking with friends, and telling stories about all of her adventures.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years R.C. Sublett, her mother Elsie Tomes, and her father George Tomes.

She is survived by her sister Nancy Michaelis of Big Spring, TX, and her brother George Tomes Jr. of Waco, TX. Her children, Amy Boothe and husband Jim of Port Orchard, WA, Shannon Donaghey and husband John of Ingram, TX, Priscilla Ollom and husband Joe of Everett WA,

Reuben Christian Sublett, III and wife Sarah of Fort Collins, CO. She was the proud grandmother to seven grandchildren; Cody and Willow Boothe, Dillon Donaghey, Addison, Gabrielle and

Ryan Ollom, and Savannah Sublett. Bobbie will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 20th, 2023 at Johnson's Funeral Home.
