Bobby Ray Wanoreck of San Angelo passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus on May 4, 2023. He was born on January 20, 1953, to Laurine Wanoreck and Barbara Havlak Wanoreck. Bob is remembered as the man with a big heart.

Growing up in Ballinger, Bob was in the Boy Scouts. Despite catching a field on fire after learning how to light a fire in Cub Scouts, he did go on to earn his rank of Eagle Scout. He was always very proud of that accomplishment.

In high school, Bob played football for the Ballinger Bearcats and then was able to continue playing football at Tarleton State University. He eventually earned his master's in education. He taught industrial arts, special education, coached and was also a principal. He genuinely loved everyone from students to his colleagues throughout the many years he spent in education.

In 1982 he was set up on a blind date with Jan Jeschke and from there they sprinted to the altar 6 months later. They had two daughters, Amanda and Chandra that he loved to follow around to all of their events as they grew up. He was then blessed with his son-in-law Josh, whom he loved as his own. Lastly, his greatest blessings became his grandkids.

Bob was a Jesus follower and spent much of his time making sure everyone knew about Jesus. Thank you so much to those who joined alongside his journey throughout the years.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws Lester and Aberdeen Jeschke, his brother James Wanoreck, and grandbabies.

He is survived by his wife Jan, daughters Amanda Wanoreck and Chandra (Josh) Wascom, two granddaughters Makynlee Wanoreck and Hannah Wascom. His sisters-in-law La Donna Wanoreck and Judy Ford and their children; Brad, Matt, Genna and DeeDee and several great nieces and nephews along with the many cousins he grew up with.

Many thanks to Shannon Encompass Rehab, Gentiva Hospice, Comfort Keepers and his physicians at Shannon!

Memorial Services will be Saturday, May 13th at 10:30 am at Paulann lmpakt.
