Catherine Webber Lewis (Hutchison/Taylor), of San Angelo, Texas passed quietly into the arms of her Heavenly Father on May 4, 2023.

She was born July 23, 1943 in Edinburgh, Scotland to William and Charlotte Hutchison. She attended and graduated high school in Edinburgh.

She married James Taylor in Edinburgh Scotland in August of 1962 and had two adored children, Scott and Sherry Taylor. Cathy was a proud military wife and home maker.

She married the love of her life, Jerold Duane Lewis in Austin, Tx. in 1976. With her roots deep in her Scottish heritage she proudly became an American Citizen in 1982. Cathy worked as a machine operator at R.G. Barry’s for over 20 years, where she made many life long friends. Her incredible whit and love of a good joke will be missed by us all. Gathering and feeding loved ones around her kitchen table is where she was the happiest.

Cathy was preceded in death by her husband Jerold Lewis, her parents, her son Scott, sisters Olive, Freda and Ina.

Survivors include her brother Tony Hutchison of Scotland, her beloved daughter Sherry Thomas and Rich Jolley, her grandsons, Scott and wife Veronica Davis of San Angelo, Austin and wife Crystal Davis of San Angelo, Dallas Davis of Colorado City, Michael Taylor of Dallas, and Catherine Taylor of Dallas. Great grandchildren, Dalyla, Nani, Lamont, Audrina, Karson, Kaden, Dezi, Remi and of course her loyal dog Miss T & Bella.

Also survived by her extended family by marriage, Jerry and Patte Lewis of Wausau, WI, Sue and John Groat of Granite Bay, CA, Terry Lewis of Austin, Judy and Don Gruber of Loomis, CA, Laura Lewis of San Angelo and numerous grand and great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank her amazing hospice team for their care, especially Sherri and Britni also Carol, the oxygen lady (as Cathy called her).

Pallbearers include Michael Taylor, Scott Davis, Dallas Davis, Austin Davis, Robert Roman and Colin Gutierrez.
