Jill Ross to become Central Principal after Waters' retirement

The news: On Monday afternoon, San Angelo ISD announced in a release that Jill Ross, currently the Principal at Lake Belton High School, will become the next Central principal to replace Bill Waters who is retiring and moving to Fort Worth after fifteen years as Central's principal.

In 2019, Ross was named the Region 12 Principal of the Year by the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals.

Ross has her undergraduate degree from Midwestern State and Masters in Education from Texas Tech.

She has worked for Belton ISD since 2006 serving as an assistant principal, special education director, executive director of special programs, principal at New Tech High School, and principal at Belton High School before her current role as Principal at Lake Belton.

Her husband, Claude, works in San Angelo as the Assistant State for Field Operations for the Natural Resources Conservation Service. She has two children: Cooper and Addison.
