Jilverto Felix Gonzales passed away on April 7, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his family who will continue to honor his legacy.

He was born February 17, 1931 to Felicita and Felix Gonzales.

A lifelong resident of San Angelo, he was well known by many. Felix retired from GTE after 14 years. He worked as a part time barber for 40 years; as well as a carpenter, truck driver for Shirley Floral, City Lumber and Shepperson's Furniture Store. After retirement, he continued to stay busy as a cafeteria helper for Sacred Heart, Holy Angels and Glenn Jr. High.

He served his church as an usher and was an active member of the Knights of Columbus.

Felix married Guadalupe Moya on October 19, 1951 and were married for 71 years. Of this union they had three daughters, Mary (Errol) Winkler, Patricia (Charlie) Velasquez, and Rachel (Chris) Shows. He had nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.

Felix was preceded in death by Felix and Felicita Gonzales, his two sons, Steven and Pedro and his two brothers Rudy and Richard Gonzales.

A rosary will be held at Harper Funeral home Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 6:00 pm.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on April 13, 2023 at St Joseph's Catholic church at 10:00 am with internment at Calvary Cemetery.
Felix was dedicated to his faith, family, and was a friend who brought joy to many with his wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
