Judy Phillips, our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on April 26, 2023, at the age of 76, in San Angelo, TX. Though she may no longer be with us, her spirit of kindness, love, and generosity lives on through the countless lives she touched.

Judy's life was filled with warmth and happiness, and she shared it with everyone around her. She was born in Del Rio, TX, in December 1946 and graduated from San Angelo Central High School in 1965. She married her soulmate, Mickey Phillips, in 1966, and together they had two children, Mark and D'Anna. Judy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, reading, watching animals, and being in nature.

Judy worked for the US Postal Service for many years, and after retirement, she pursued her dream of ranch and game management with her husband. She always had a positive attitude and loved helping others. She volunteered with many organizations, including San Angelo's Project Graduation and Texas Wildlife Brigades, where she mentored young students. She was also a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority in San Angelo.

Judy's legacy lives on through her family and friends, who will remember her as a kind, selfless, and loving person. She is survived by her husband Mickey Phillips, her children Mark (and Michelle) Phillips of San Antonio, TX, and D'Anna Clayton of McKinney, TX, as well as her grandchildren Kaylee Clayton and Carter Clayton. She also leaves behind her twin sister Joan (and Louis) Ivy of San Angelo, TX, and her brother Scott (and Sue) Briggs of Lawton, OK. She is also survived by many other family members: Jimmy and Claudia Allen; Jennifer, James, Jay and Joan Page; Shane Briggs; Adrienne Briggs, Padraig and Osheen Tobin; Dusty Briggs and Mackenzie Briggs; Tommie, Bill, and Karen Weatherby; Sherry, Jansen and Payne Smith; Lisa, Jaclyn, and Brooke Barrett; Larry, Anne, Matt and Jessica Phillips; Cole and Jessica White; and Katie White.

She is preceded in death by her parents Johnnie Jackson and Glen Briggs, and her brother Ronnie Briggs.

Judy's passing leaves a void in our hearts, but her legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will never be forgotten. She will always be remembered as a shining example of what it means to live a life filled with compassion, grace, and faith.
