Harper Funeral Home

"Sometimes in life, a sudden situation, a moment in time, alters your whole life, forever changes the road ahead."
Keenan Carrell Hancock was born on May 7, 1985, to Elaine (Willis Hancock) Bryant and Vernon Hancock and left this world to join Jesus on February 27, 2023, in Midland, Texas after a sudden cardiac event. He packed a lot of life and adventure in 37 short years. During his younger years, Keenan lived in Plains, Texas with his parents and surrounded by his extended family. When Keenan was 6 years old, Elaine and Vernon moved to San Angelo, Texas. Keenan attended San Angelo ISD where he graduated in 2003. After living in several places over the years in search of a fulfilling career, Keenan settled in Midland and was employed by Smart Chemical Solutions. He loved his job and tried to do more than was expected to help his colleagues. Keenan had immense wit and a boundless sense of humor. If you were not smiling or laughing when you were around him, you simply were not listening. Even though Keenan struggled with severe anxiety in certain situations, he always tried to be where he was needed most. Caring for others was his greatest gift. Keenan had a very special relationship with his grandmothers, Jackie and Wilda. He loved them dearly. Keenan also had a very special relationship with his nephews, Ashton, Jaxson, and Lexson. They were always so excited to see Uncle Keenan. Keenan loved Jesus, and he knew Jesus. Although he was not active in a church, Keenan sought God's wisdom and guidance in his life and was a deeply spiritual person.
Keenan was welcomed into heaven by his grandparents, Durward Willis, Wilda and Andy Warren, Don Hancock, and Dallas and Barbara Brewer. No doubt the celebration is big.

Keenan is survived by his parents, Elaine Bryant of San Angelo and Vernon and Kim Hancock of Lubbock, and his grandmother, Jackie Willis of San Angelo. He is also survived by his sister, Tarren Hancock, and nephews Ashton, Jaxson, and Lexson Huff of Bulverde, his step-sister, Kylee Whipple, and step-brother, Kirk Whipple and Erin Baker and nephew Landon Perez, all of Lubbock, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Under the direction of Harper Funeral Home, a Celebration of Life for Keenan will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Southgate Church of Christ in San Angelo, Texas with Bro. Paul Shero officiating.
