Opinion - Since 1949, May has been observed as Mental Health Awareness Month. Throughout the month, people from all over the country raise awareness to fight stigmas and educate others about the millions that suffer from mental health issues.

The month also serves as a reminder that it is okay not to be okay. On a personal level, I should know because I am one of the millions who struggle with their mental health.
