The news: Recent high appraisals have caused concern for several property owners in Tom Green County. Some property appraisals have risen over 1,000% over the last year. Leaders from County Judge Carter to Mayor Gunter to Representative Darby have all spoken out on the issue. In one of his statements, Representative Darby mentioned that Tyler Johnson, the Chief Appraiser for Tom Green County, traveled to Austin to talk with him.
