The news: In its regular school board meeting on Monday evening, The SAISD Board of Trustees will vote on accepting a bid from Sturdisteel Company out of Hewitt (Waco). According to SAISD staff, the middle section of seating at San Angelo Stadium's home side needed to be replaced due to cracks. The cracked plastic seatbacks will be replaced by bleachers, which would add seating to the stadium and allow fans to bring their own seats. Sturdisteel has worked on high school stadiums in Celina, Gilmer, as well as Tivy in Kerville.
